  Our family of five and another family of five rented the house over Labor Day weekend. The kids were so happy, each with their own bed and plenty of nooks and crannies to explore.
  
  this lakefront home sits on a steep hill, so be prepared to climb down and up accordingly. Parking is limited to a tight tandem spot, located on a very steep angle, so make certain your parking brake is tight and working well.
  
  The home is charming, but dated. There is a full ceiling to floor wall of windows overlooking the lake in the family room, where we spent a ton of time doing a jigsaw puzzle.
  
  The dock was a fantastic amenity, and our kids fished and swam although swimming requires a constant adult eye, as wakes from passing boats were fairly constant.
  
  One thing we were unaware of in advance was that the house needed to be completely cleaned by prior to checkout. It's possible that the rental agency communicated this and I missed it, but instructions at the home made it very clear that we would forfeit our entire deposit if the home was not left in the same condition we found it (commons sense), and cleaned. Warnings everywhere made us anxious, so we made sure to vacuum, mop, clean the windows, scrub the bathrooms and countertops, and make sure that we left it in better condition than we found it. This took a solid two hours and involved all four of the adults. The vacuum clemer isn't good and needs to be replaced.
  
  We also needed to supply our own linens and towels, or pay extra for them, which we chose to do.
  
  All said, the home has a large view deck that was modernized recently. In addition, the property is in a very serene location with an incredible view and 10 minute access to the village by car. To walk would likely be a solid 30 mins, I'd guess.

  The lake is beautiful, we loved it so much we made an offer on the cabin around the corner from the rental that we stayed in. The rental howeverWas outdated not so clean, and a few things didn't work like the toilet upstairs.The upstairs rooms were really hot, the downstairs rooms were great but very dark and extremely outdated.One of the bedrooms downstairs had a bunkbed that none of our children would sleep in because it was built so odd, there was no way you could sleep on the bottom bunk or safely on the top.There were no air conditioning units in any of the rooms which made most of the rooms unbearable for a large part of the day. For the price that we paid for this House, the owners should really have invested more. One more thing, the house is very dusty and the floorsDid not look like anyone had truly cleaned them for a long time. This house did not come with any canoes or kayaks. I definitely would not rent this place again. The rental company staff however was very nice, and extremely professional.

  We had a great time here, beautiful view of lake, too many stairs to get to house then more to get to lake, not enough parking.

• I have rented Duck 4 twice.Once in May and again in June.The location and view are wonderful. The house is no doubt a top rental property. The down side of that has created the fact that this home is in need of a deep cleaning.

  I do plan to visit again with hopes of a thorough/deep cleaning.Drapes are shaded with dust. Furniture needs to be moved and cleaned behind.The vacuum cleaners left there do not work. The little storage areas along the stair case going downstairs are full of old paint cans and should be locked.We had a raccoon under the house which made for a restless night of sleep.Siding on the front of the home is missing and has allowed small wild animals to make them selves at home.The kitchen area has been wonderfully upgraded. The deck is a little slice of heaven.Once the rest of the house is given some much needed attention I will gladly refer this property to friends and family. The gals at AAA resort rentals have been awesome.I hope they will address the issues at this home with the owner and you will have a life long renter in me.

  Lots of stairs. There are stairs from the small driveway to the house and from the house to the docks. Also stairs either up for bedrooms or down for bedrooms so if you have someone who can't handle stairs, this house would be a challenge. The deck and backroom were my favorite with views of the lake. Rooms were adequate but housekeeping could have done a bit better job on the floors. Overall a good time.
